♥Bath Time♥

New Year means new routines, and new routines means new experiences. This month, I treated myself to something I have always wanted to do, just never quite had the means for: a flower-filled pamper evening.

Now, I wont lie to you- I had originally planned to have a milk bath- reasons being that milk is extremely beneficial for the skin, moisturising it and leaving it nice and smooth. Furthermore, it adds a nice opaque look to the tub that looks (and feels) extra instagrammable. However, they can be a pain- no one wants to smell of sour milk the next day. When you have a milk bath, be sure to rinse after and do not wash your hair in the milky water- the milk will cling to your hair and will be hard to wash off. The complexity of it was too big for me to do on a Sunday night- so i settled with a petal-filled tub instead, challening my inner Cara.

Flower filled baths are great! They not only look beautiful floating upon the water and bubbles, but the fragrances they emit smell great and open the pores, while also toning the skin.

I filled my bath with bubbles using Lush's Candy Mountain bubble bar, which gave the water a soft baby-pink hue. I then tipped in a cup full of Epsom salts (which are just good all over, reasons of which I cannot even BEGIN to explain). I then put the heads of the flowers (which resemble roses, but I cannot at this moment recall the name) on top of the bubbles, spacing them evenly.

I used products such as Lush's Rose Jam shower gel and Senteales Purity Mask- both of which contributed to a lovely bodily scent and glowing skin. Other products included Ogx's coconut milk shampoo and conditioner, along with a Lush face mask named Love Lettuce.

Afterwards, I went through my hair, combing through any conditioner I might of left in. I then blasted the wet out my hair with a hairdryer, before finishing with my Garnier Coconut Hair Oil. This is my favourite for when my hair is feeling dry and dull-looking, and just in need for a bit of TLC.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Do you treat yourself to a pamper evening once in a while? Or is every evening a pamper evening?

Lots of Love, Em x

Hello

Hello,

Right now, I am sat on my living room sofa with my parents watching a David Attenbrough documentary. I would feel rude to ask them to pull out the name, so ill describe it to you: a bunch of scientists dump a whale carcass attached to a concrete block into the deepest depths of the sea and proceed to watch a large shark devour it.

Anyway, that is not very relevant; infact, its not relevant at all. Hopefully, this blog won't be about David Attenbrough (:'( )or Sharks. Mind you, I cannot guarentee my this will not be my first and last post. (as Cher from Clueless would say; "we can't just do it sporadically" I will now make this my mantra.)

The fact is, I am very into Fashion and Makeup. It's a hard one really- the industry is so big and popular, its hard not to imagine people stepping over (and on) people to get their 5 minutes of fame in it. A few months ago, my mum did mention starting a blog. At first, I dismissed it, and remarked "literally everyone has a blog" and I do believe that has some truth.

But now, I am here. Let me paint a picture: It's Tuesday night, my collarbone length hair is piled onto my head, held together loosely with a maroon scrunchie. I have just had a shower, and my face mask is starting to peel. In a moment of boredom, I created this blog. Lets hope I can keep it up!
